so how is everybody doing with this by now? seems like we have gone quiet here in the last few weeks. have your issues been addressed and fixed?
Questions to you other owners of the X6-- Range? customer support? wind issues? previous promises of performance and usability? video performance and quality? flight controls and stability?
are you guys getting good with this or just tired of complaining?

I hear you Sig. I haven't been able to fly for 3 weeks. Every morning I am up at dawn....scrutinizing the tops of trees for any movement..... The slightest breeze makes me very nervous...Ben...? Are you still out there and flying....

Hi Guys, I'm a member over in RC Groups and fly the MikroKopter. Are you all sying 7MPH wind speed affects the stability of the X6? If so, that is unacceptable and I truly hope DF go back and adjust a few parameters. I'm not sure if you guys have the ability to change gyro settings to soften unstable flight control such as when descending from a high altitude? I'm located in NY and would love to have a meet with someone close by who actually owns a DF...I'd bring my MK and demonstrate how changing gyro settings makes a HUGE difference when flying in wind....I'm able to fly as high as 400 feet with 10-15 MPH winds nd keep the craft under total control just from changing a few settings. Of course the craft will tilt/roll in a effort to combat winds...this is where the camera mount is supposed to do it's job, compensating for roll and tilt. Leaders in this forum are welcome to forward my link over to the DF folks and explain to them this is the upgrade that should be in the works...especially for a craft costing 25K. I really hope this is all resolved and owners are finally out flying and enjoying their amazing craft! www.perspectiveaerials.com/HDAerial/HDPresentation2.html

MoreNoNYC,
How much does your helicopter with camera cost? I visited your web site and was impressed with how stable the video was. What about flight times? How much does your aircraft weight?

Hi Skyshark, I can build a duplicate of my craft for under 5k this is including roll/tilt gyro/accelerometer stabilized camera mount, gps, altitude hold and video downlink with both still and video HD panasonic cameras (HDC-SD9) my craft currently weighs 1700 grams and i'm getting 10 mins flight times....trust me wen shooting video and stills all you need is 5-6 mins.

Hi all, Same issues as every other owner on here. The Draganfly X6 does not perform as described. The slightest bit of wind and its all over the place. However it does fly beautifully indoors. Flight times are less than 8 minutes with a payload, the Draganfly website claims 20 mins flight times (unloaded) - who is going to spend 25k on an X6 and not put a camera on it? ? Totally misleading. The battery warning comes on about 10 to 15 seconds before its dead in the air and will come down into whatever is below it at the time- not much good if its a couple of hundred feet up. "The Draganflyer X6 helicopter battery and handheld controller battery level are monitored in real-time and displayed on the controller screen. An audible warning sounds and a visual alert pops up when the battery becomes dangerously low. If the helicopter continues to be flown, an auto landing will occur before the battery completely discharges." -- B*ll*cks Customer service needs work- nuff said Above complaints are only the tip of the iceberg. Maybe its my fault for believing that Canada has the same (or similar) false advertising laws to europe - oh actually it does. Is anyone pursuing a refund at all?

MoreNoNYC,
I would love to discuss the aircraft that you have built. Could you send pictures of your setup to my email address located in my profile and describe the capabilities of your craft? I think 5K is more reasonable than 25K. I will review the information that you send and consider a proposal.

Hi AJ, If you go to DF's Tech Spec's page it give's you all the info for wieght and battery's. I noticed they are still claiming 18 mph max. windspeed, and 10 mph for novice there's no way !!!!! I don't understand how they can get away with this. they have not done testing for windspeed all they do is call the local airport to get thier windspeed.

OK, it will have been four weeks since DF said that they should have the updates ready in 3-4 weeks. I have not heard a word from them. also they said that they would have better customer support setup for us. I have not called I wanted to give them the opportunity to get it together. They are still making claims that are not true about the wind speed, how can they do this when they have not even done the proper testing ? Where do we go from here ? I also haven't been able to fly due to winds that are just over 6mph but under 12mph, that they originally claimed it could fly in with a load and hold in GPS mode.

I chatted with Graham Monday the 15th, I asked about the progress of the update, I was told it would be another two week's. I mentioned that it would be to their benefit if they would keep us informed. I sure hope that they get it together. I was contacted by a someone interested in the X6 he told me that it would take eight weeks if he were to order one. hopefully this is due to DF getting their act together ? I feel that they rushed to market with the X6. I am still really bothered about the wind speed issue, here sits an expensive piece of equipment that I can't use due to fact it will not operate at the wind speeds they claimed it would. and it seems that DF doesn't care !!! I really have a hard time believing that any law enforcement agencies are using the X6. I just don't know.

I had a great conversation with Zenon at Draganfly that went very well I do believe that they are working very hard to take care of everything. I feel that they were not geared up to handle the demand for the X6 and are taking necessary step to correct all the problems. it will just be a matter of time. we should all be better informed in the near future. I myself am looking forward to this. really seems like Zenon is sincere and means what he says. He also flies and there will be an area for tip's on using the X6

Glad to hear you got to the top Heli.... They all seem to be straight up guys (and gals) there at DF. Seems only natural that they would be experiencing growing pains....especially for such a unique camera platform. The more X6s that get into the air, the more feedback DF will get to help improve its performance envelope....I am sure they are all working allot of overtime to pull it all together.....
