We have a TV Fishing Show www.chewonthis.tv and we are moving to the Versus Network this fall. We want to purchase a UAV that is "easily" flown and can be launched easily becuase we will need to fly it from a boat and land it there while on the water. We have done research on the X6 and believe the limited wind capability make it tough for us to purchase. While we don't film shows in poor weather, there is normally a "breeze" due to the fact that we do saltwater shows and both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic provide 5-10 MPH even on a great day. We would like to get opinions and comments from you "experts" and appreciate any advice you give. We would like a list of potential UAV's ....the pro...the cons.....and approximate pricing...along with any referrals. Thanks to all and Let's Go!

The first thing you will need to be looking for is a UAV that can have float attachments and will not be low enough to drown the camera if you do end up in the water. The only example I have seen of someone flying a heli from a boat is here www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpO1kc5-46s&feature=related at 1min 8 sec you will see them launch from boat. I do not think the X6 will be suitable for your needs in regards to floatation devices. There could be an option out there but I cant think of any UAV that will support them either. Just normal RC helicopters.
