OK, so what software for editing video do you use?
It seems that Final Cut Pro is the Gold standard (with Smoothcam to tidy it up) ... but it only runs on a Mac - which I don't currently have.
Anyone use anything on a PC that can take the Panasonic files and do something useful with them?
Try before buy is handy but not a prerequisite. I need editing features as in topping, tailing, splitting and splicing. I also need a Somoothcam equivalent to iron out the bumps.
The s/w that comes with the camera is pretty basic and so far have not managed to produce anything of a reasonable size to add to my website.
I'm monitoring Ebay for a Mac and FCP, but have yet to take the plunge.
Thks.

*update*
Just found pinnacle studio plus which, I think, came with the camera. The trial version seemed OK, but couldn't test the anti-shake without paying, so as I type, I'm just downloading the Studio Ultimate collection (£99.95 - somewhat cheaper than a Mac & FCP).
Watch this space for a review. Me, I'm off to bed as there appears to be 6.5 more hours of download.

I've been playing with several trial versions and settled on Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum (vers 10). I'm presently working my way through the training DVD that came with the Sony s/w and so far it looks impressive. A Mac would be nice, but I bought a new Windows based system last Spring.

I have tried VirtualDub which works ok, but the transfer to .AVI looses a lot of quality, and back to mp4 is a mess....
